Weld-Ed will offer several specialized five-day Summer Training Welding Courses for Educators. The courses are designated for Professional Development of Welding Educators teaching secondary and post-secondary welding programs. This workshop will be offered July 22-26, 2013 at Hutchison High School in Fairbanks, AK. The description of the training module is listed below: •Module # 2- the Joining and Cutting Processes course covers the basics and principles of major joining and cutting processes. Advantages, disadvantages, equipment, consumables, techniques and variables for each process are discussed. Applications, criteria for consumable selection and how to establish process parameters are emphasized. Laboratory work involves equipment set up and operating of the welding and cutting equipment for specific applications.Cost includes workshop, hotel accommodations, breakfast & lunch each day, welding jacket, T-shirt, and all classroom-ready training materials.
