Vision: TeachingTechnicians.org is the nation’s premier destination for information related to professional development for technician and related STEM educators. Because of TeachingTechnicians.org, faculty development providers efficiently connect with their target participants thereby increasing faculty awareness and participation. Successful practices and resources are broadly shared to promote program improvement, resource development, and useful evaluation; and, students benefit.

Mission: The three-part mission of TeachingTechnicians.org is (1) to make it easy for technician educators to learn about and take advantage of exemplary professional development opportunities provided by National Science Foundation (NSF) Advanced Technological Education Program (ATE) grantees and others; (2) to increase participation in faculty development by providing NSF ATE grantees a central place to broadly announce and proactively promote events to alert instructors of opportunities; and (3) to enhance faculty development and program improvement for technician and related STEM educators by stimulating the sharing of expertise, resources and successful practices.

Values: Increasing access to and participation in faculty development activities is critical to effectively transferring knowledge, improving the success of diverse learners, and keeping technician education innovative and aligned with advances in science, technology, and employer expectations.
